About Dr. Morton Botel: the developer and co-author of the two programs

Dr. Morton Botel is an emeritus professor at the Graduate School of Education of the University of Pennsylvania. He has written or co-authored over 200 books, tests, articles and research reports for children, teachers and parents. Dr. Botel is the founder and senior advisor of the Penn Literacy Network which provides professional development programs for teachers throughout the United States. He is a past president of the International Reading Association and
a member of their Reading Hall of Fame.
